What Is a Maintenance Schedule?
Your maintenance schedule is simply a breakdown of the various services and inspections that your Genesis G70 will need. They’re broken down by mileage, because mileage is an easier metric to go by. Everyone drives differently, some commutes are longer than others, and some drivers don’t put too many miles on their vehicle.
Each mileage interval will correspond with a set of services that the manufacturer recommends getting at that specific time. This will help ensure that your vehicle gets everything it needs, and performs smoothly for you!
Maintenance Schedule
6,000 Miles—At your first service interval, you’ll need to have your engine oil and filter replaced. You’ll also need to have your tires rotated. This visit will also include a multi-point inspection that will focus on your vacuum hose, battery, braking system, driveshaft, suspension, and your air conditioning system. These services will need to be repeated every 6,000 miles.
- 12,000 Miles—On top of the previously listed services, this visit will include an inspection of your vapor hose, fuel filler cap, and fuel tank. You’ll also need to have your fuel filter and parking brake inspected during this visit. Lastly, you’ll need to have your Climate Control Air Filter replaced (every 12,000 miles).
48,000 Miles—This visit includes a lot of repeated services, however, some new ones are added to the list. Every 24,000 miles, you’ll need to have your air cleaner filter replaced, and if you have a manual transmission, its fluid will be inspected. Your spark plugs should be replaced every 42,000 miles, so if you haven’t had that done, this would be the time.
- 60,000 Miles—This visit will add a drive belt inspection to the list. This service will need to be repeated every other visit moving forward. You’ll also need to have your Valve Clearance inspected during this visit, and every 60,000 miles to follow, as well as a replacement of your Brake/Clutch fluid every 30,000 miles.
- 72,000 Miles—While this visit has a variety of services attached, every 36,000 miles you’ll need to add a Rear Differential Oil replacement if you have Limited Slip Differential.
